Whether you want to enjoy a special occasion or simply treat yourself, our afternoon tea is the ultimate indulgence. Served on the terrace weather permitting or in the comfort of our lounge or in Trubshaw’s Restaurant. Enjoy a mouth-watering selection of finely cut sandwiches, speciality cakes including freshly baked scones all complimented by a selection of teas and coffee.

Opening Times

Served daily between 12pm – 4.30pm (Monday to Saturday) or 3pm - 4pm (Sunday).

Traditional Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea is said to have originated with one person; Anna, 7th Duchess of Bedford. In the early 1800’s she launched the idea of having tea in the late afternoon to bridge the gap between luncheon and dinner.

Pre-booking is required. Prices are not applicable for Mothering Sunday, Easter, Christmas and Special Events.
